No “Hi”. Just say it.

If you need something, don’t open with a greeting. Open with the actual message.

“Hi” feels polite — but in chat, it creates unnecessary delay.

It forces a waiting loop:

Hi → Who is this? → What do you need?

That loop adds zero value.

❌ Don’t do this

  • Hi
  • Hello
  • Are you there?
  • Ping me when free
  • Quick question…

✅ Do this instead

  • “Can you review this when you get a chance?”
  • “I’m stuck on this error — here’s the screenshot”
  • “What time is the meeting today?”
Why this matters:

Chat is not a phone call.
Typing is slower than speaking.

So every unnecessary message increases friction.

It may feel small, but better messages = faster responses for everyone.
